Flamingo Las Vegas

The Flamingo Las Vegas is where modern Las Vegas and the Strip all began. If Bugsy Siegel were still here he would be proud (as opposed to "blown away.") For over 60 years the Flamingo Hotel Casino has been rolling the dice. A lot has changed over the years, but the Flamingo has kept its shimmer and glimmer and brilliant pink facade—in honor of "Bugsy."

The Flamingo Las Vegas is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and is on one of the Las Vegas Monorail stops. The Flamingo is opposite to The Forum Shops and Caesars Palace.

Hotel Description

The Flamingo Las Vegas features a 15-acre Caribbean-style water playground complete with a Wildlife Habitat, home to penguins, turtles, and of course flamingoes. Shows at the Flamingo include Funny Man George Wallace, the Second City Comedy Show and Wayne Newton. Set on the famous intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road, this hotel combines heart-pounding Las Vegas excitement with great amenities, all set right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

Flamingo Las Vegas features a garden with five pools and three free-form spa tubs. The year-round 80-foot long heated pool is flanked by flamingo statues on pedestals and rental cabanas. A 150-foot water slide drops into three terraced pools. The lagoon pool has a swim-in grotto behind a triple waterfall. Flamingo Las Vegas features four lighted tennis courts. A wildlife habitat is located on site.

The hotel's 77,000-square-foot casino includes a poker room and a race-and-sports book. The Second City, the Chicago-based improve group that inspired Saturday Night Live is now based in Las Vegas, and performs at the Flamingo Las Vegas.

Deluxe guest rooms are 350 square feet, with one King bed or two Queen beds, and features floor-to-ceiling windows, a love seat, an upholstered armchair and a desk. Other amenities include air conditioning, in-room safe, remote-controlled cable TV with video games (for a fee), on-command movies and high-speed internet access (both for a fee), hair dryer, iron, radio, alarm clock, electronic door locks, desk, telephone and voice mail.

Luxury Go:

Luxury Go rooms offer one King bed or two Queen beds, a couch, a desk and chair. Other amenities include entertainment system with iPod docking station, sound soothing alarm clock, 42" flat screen television, wireless internet, electronic window treatments and LED chrome reading lights. Bathrooms feature frosted glass walls and doors and a separate tub and shower, television and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.
